ready for something new?

I hear you.

Guess which photo is the “before”? hee hee

My lovely client called us in to choose a new paint color for her bathroom. She wasn’t thrilled with how the seaglass green she had chosen turned out and wanted some color suggestions for something a little more subtle. Sometimes the smallest and easiest changes can produce a tremendous change. Like paint color.

And sometimes, we are ready for big changes. Really big. Like scorched earth, burn it to the ground and let’s start over kind of changes.

This is the funny part. Check out the “after” photos on the right. The last word on earth I would use to describe this new look is “subtle”. Dramatic, courageous, bold, whimsical, glamorous, maximalist, unexpected, colorful, gorgeous? Absolutely. Subtle, uh, no. Long story short, the domino effect went into hyperdrive and not only did we completely gut and renovate this bathroom, we gutted and renovated the entire house. With breathtaking results.

Apparently, this client was ready for BIG changes.

This next bathroom refresh was much simpler but with equally dramatic results. All it took was paint, new sconces (Lowes), new vanity (Ikea), “new” vintage mirror and a new potty (Home Depot). We ran the flooring from the rest of the house into this room so that was easy. Total budget on this bathroom was about $700 not including labor.

New years always gets us thinking about doing things better. We look ahead with a sense of having a clean slate. What are you looking towards this year? Are you ready for a change? Small or big, we can help.
